About the cooling system battery Tesla Model S

At Tesla Model S battery is liquid cooled, the liquid Heater warms Battery capacity of 4 kWh (as kettle), and it can force cooling air — electrocompressor And consumes 1.2 kWh.

There are 4 modes of temperature control battery:

1. The battery temperature is below +8 C. the Slurry of the battery circulates only in its contour, where it heats the same "kettle", the motor and the inverter are in a different circuit and does not need to be heated. when you switch on the machine heating of the battery occurs without the participation of the driver. at this point on the scale is markers power limitation during acceleration and during recovery. Charging frozen batteries only occurs once the battery warms up to +8 C. Next, after you reach +8 With the included charging and the battery is heated by itself due to the electrochemical processes inside the battery when charging.

2. Temperature from +8 to +30 C, it is the most common mode in quiet operation. the liquid circulates "in a small circle," not leaning in the middle of the radiator.

3. The battery temperature is +30 to +55 C: the liquid circulates in a large circle, passing through the front radiator.

4. the battery temperature is above +55, the most interesting mode, this mode happens if "with the pedal to the floor to drift in the heat", the battery is disconnected from the shared circuit in the circuit of the battery connects the heat exchanger with the refrigerant of the air conditioner (marked as CI) and the battery fluid starts to cool down with air conditioning. The circuit of the motor and controller are working on the middle radiator, and if the temperature increases further (like up to 130) that included limiting the power mode.

Sometimes owners notice: the rustle of fans, the air conditioner is heard when charging from the Supercharger in the summer heat. ie the battery is charging, is heated accordingly, and it immediately cools the air. So, what should happen to the brand Panasonic battery in such total control? And why the manufacturer gives a battery warranty 8 years unlimited mileage?

One time I saw a Tesla parked off without a driver, and have it under the hood of something very cool. I do not quite understand what it's spinning?
